Is hypnotherapy safe?
Absolutely. Look at it from my point of view - I wouldn't keep clients for long if they felt uncomfortable or 'out of control', or found themselves eating onions like apples if anyone said a trigger word after a session! There's nothing strange about hypnosis or anything weird about inducting it - no swinging watches I'm afraid! I just drone on for a very, very long time, using carefully worded 'language patterns' to bring your mind to a comfortable, receptive state, while weaving pleasant tales of sunny beaches and secret gardens etc. When you are in a state of deep relaxation and focus, I'll then give your subconscious mind positive suggestions to work on. And that's all they are ... suggestions. Your subconscious mind will reject any that don't feel right. Some clients hear every word, some drift in and out of listening, and some don't hear much beyond the first few sentences, but everyone is in control throughout. And just like doing that dull chore where your mind drifts off somewhere else entirely, you can 'snap out of it' at any moment if necessary. You may feel a little woozy for a minute or two, but you'll feel back to normal again pretty quickly.
